How to Live it NOWā€¦ on Purpose

Remember when you could imagine anything as a child?

Remember when you used to fantasize about things to bring into your life?

Remember when those things just showed up because you lived like it was already in your life?

Remember when you were the producer, director and main character in your own movie?

 

Would you like to make a new movie?

 

Live it NOW… on Purpose is level 7 of the “Creating Your Life on Purpose” process.

You must live it NOW like it is already in your life, so the universe doesn’t get mixed signals from you.  There are many ways to do this process, but I will give you a brief description of my favorite one.  This method involves visualization.  Visualization means to see your desire as already in your life.  It embraces the power of your subconscious mind.

Our brains work in pictures.  If I say “Don’t think about a pink elephant” what was the first thing you pictured.  You can’t help it because this is the way our brains work.  This is a very powerful technique so if you practice it a couple times every day you will start to see magical things start to happen.

Now it is time to create your movie starring “Your Name Here”. 

            Think of one of your desires.

            Close your eyes.

            Pretend like you are watching a movie about your life.

            See the sights.

            Hear the sounds.

            Feel what it feels like.

            Taste the foods.

            Smell the sweet fragrances.

            Bring as many physical senses into the experience to make it more real.  Feel it in your body like you are in this experience.

 

I was in a workshop that was led by Jack Canfield, one of my favorite coaches; and he had us close our eyes and he walked us through an experience. 

 

“You are in a hotel room 30 stories up.  You want to walk out to see what view you have from your window.  There is a balcony, so you open the door and walk out onto the balcony.  You notice there is no wall or glass.  You start to walk closer to the edge to look over and your stomach starts to have butterflies.  You walk a little closer and just stand there.  You start to feel uncomfortable because your body is telling you that you are in danger.  Just stay there for a few minutes.  You want to go back into the room.  Open your eyes.”

 

It was more experiential at the workshop then I can relay here because it seemed so real with 400 other people in the room doing the same thing.  He walked us through it slowly.  Most people felt like they were on that balcony and felt their stomach get nervous even though they consciously knew they were safely sitting in a chair in that room. 

 

Why do our bodies react like it is real?

 

Our minds don’t know the difference between real and imagined.  So why not imagine what you desire and turn it into a movie that you can visualize over and over.

  • WHY am I so good at imagining what I desire?
  • WHY am I good at fantasizing what I want to bring into my life?
  • WHY do things just show up when I live like it is already in my life?
  • WHY do I create amazing movies where I am the star?
  • WHY do I produce and direct my own movies?
  • WHY do I see, hear, feel, taste and smell everything like it is real?
  • WHY does everything in my movie feel so real?
  • WHY am I so good at visualization techniques for my good?
  • WHY are my movies playing out in my life?
  • WHY am I always grateful?

(Add as many as you would like that resonates with you)
